We source the soya beans for the Belsoy products directly from the farmers. Once they are harvested (in countries such as Brazil, Canada and China), the soya beans are rapidly shipped to our production units in Belgium, France and the United Kingdom.
Our company has developed a natural production process to preserve all the nutrients of the soya bean. We first remove the beans’ outer skin and then blanch them in hot water. They are then ground and mixed to obtain a liquid. We then remove all the insoluble components of the bean to obtain pure soya juice which is then heated for a few seconds at an ultra-high temperature – the UHT process – to kill any bacteria while preserving all the nutrients. This pure soya drink serves as a base for our products, to which we add ingredients to prepare the various recipes.
Throughout the whole process – from the field up until the products leave our units – we maintain the absolute traceability of these ingredients.
